255 Feet of Course in a 150-Foot Field

Most large obstacle courses run a straight line, which means a 255-foot course needs a 255-foot field — and most venues don’t have one. The U-Turn layout solves that. The course doubles back at the midpoint, so the full 255-foot run packs into a setup area of 150 feet long by 40 feet wide. That single design choice is why this unit books at sites that have to turn down our 310 Foot U-Turn.

The fold also puts start and finish lines side by side, so announcers, timers, and photographers work from one position instead of running the length of the field. For head-to-head heats, spectators watch the entire race without moving.

                                                8 separate circuits

On power: eight independent circuits is more than almost any school yard, park, or residential drop can supply. Plan on three of our larger generators to run the set. Generators and power distribution are available through our party extras and equipment rentals — confirm your power plan when you book, because a course this size can’t be run partially inflated.

On space: measure width, not just length. The 40-foot width is where bookings most often fail on arrival  clients measure a long strip and forget the return lane. If you’re unsure, send a photo of the site through our contact form and we’ll size it before you commit.

Best Events for a 255 Foot Obstacle Course

School field days & fun fairs

Elementary and middle school field days are the single most common booking for this course. The U-Turn layout lets one or two staff members supervise the entire run from a central position, and the four slides keep classes rotating without a bottleneck. Pair it with inflatable interactive games to build a full field-day rotation.

Church, community & city festivals

For a festival midway, a 220-foot course reads as a headline attraction from the parking lot. It draws foot traffic past your other booths and gives local sponsors something photogenic to put their banner beside. Most festival clients book it alongside concession machines and tents, tables, and chairs for a single-vendor setup.

Corporate picnics & team-building events

Run it head-to-head with timed heats and a leaderboard and you have a two-hour team-building program that needs no facilitator. Corporate clients across Northern Virginia typically add event attractions and a foam party to extend the afternoon. See the full range on our rental inventory.

Attendants, Setup & What's Included

Every booking includes professional delivery, full setup, and takedown you assemble nothing. Blowers, cords, anchoring hardware, and safety stakes or ballast come with the unit, and every course is cleaned and sanitized between rentals.

You can also add a professional Event Manager from our party extras lineup to run heats and course logistics so you can host instead of supervise.

Pricing is shown in 4-hour, 5-hour, and 6-hour windows so you can match the rental to your program rather than paying for time you won’t use. Full terms and damage policy are on our FAQs page.

Choose the 310 if you have the field and want the longest, most competitive course we rent. Choose the 255 if your site is tighter but you still want a headline attraction. Choose the 220 for a slightly smaller footprint and budget. Smaller crowds are usually better served by a bounce house and slide combo or a dry slide. See everything on our full rental inventory.

Complete the Event: Popular Add-Ons

255 Foot Obstacle Course Rental FAQs

Do I need generators, or will house power work?

The set requires seven independent circuits. Nearly every client rents generators we recommend two 7,500-watt units plus one 3,500-watt unit, available through our equipment rentals.

A clear, flat area of at least 150 feet long by 40 feet wide with 20 feet of overhead clearance, plus room at the perimeter for anchoring and safe entry and exit. The width matters as much as the length  the U-turn layout runs two lanes side by side.

Popular dates (spring and fall weekends especially) book quickly, so we recommend reserving at least 2-3 weeks ahead, though we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.

Yes, delivery, setup, and pickup are included with every rental.
