What the U-Turn Extension Does

A straight obstacle course needs a field as long as the course. The U-Turn piece folds the run back on itself, which does two things at once: it adds 25 feet of course, and it puts the entrance and exit side by side.

That second part is what most customers actually want. Start and finish in one place means one set of staff, one photo position, and spectators who can see both ends of the race without walking the field. On a school field day it’s the difference between two supervisors and four.

On space: the 40-foot width is the number to check, not the length. The U-turn runs two lanes side by side, so this piece needs more width than it does length. Measure across your field before you book.

On power: one additional circuit on top of whatever your base course requires. If your base course is already at the limit of what the site can supply, plan on a generator — available through our party extras and equipment rentals.
