190 Feet in One Straight Run

Six connected pieces laid end to end make a single 190-foot run, and that is a different event from a course that folds back on itself. Racers start at one end and finish at the other. Spectators line the lane the whole way down instead of crowding one corner. Climbs, tunnels, pop-ups, squeezes and slides come at a racer in sequence for the full length  long enough that pacing starts to matter and finishing is an achievement rather than a lap.

It is the longest single continuous run we rent. If you have seen the shorter inflatable obstacle courses at a school field day, this is the one that makes the field day itself the thing people talk about afterwards.

The Sixteen-Foot Lane — Why This Course Fits Sites Nothing Else Will

Read this part before you compare the 190 to anything else, because it is the whole reason this unit exists in our fleet.

The 190 sets up as a straight lane. The unit measures 190 feet long by 8 feet wide by 16 feet tall, and you need a clear working area of 210 feet long by 16 feet wide with 18 feet of overhead clearance. Every other large course we rent is a U-turn that needs a rectangle roughly 45 feet wide. This one needs a lane.

That single difference is why the 190 goes to sites nothing else can serve:

  • A school track straightaway, without touching the infield you need for everything else
  • A row of a parking lot
  • A closed residential street for a block party
  • The sideline of a field already set up for another activity
  • A fairground or festival midway

If your site is long and thin, this is the only course on this website that will fit it. If your site is a wide open rectangle, say so when you call — one of the U-turn courses will almost certainly give you more course for the same ground.

Measuring a 210-Foot Lane Before You Book

Two hundred and ten feet is roughly two-thirds of a football field, or a standard track straightaway with room at each end. Pace it before you reserve — one heel-to-toe pace is close enough to a foot — and walk the whole lane rather than eyeballing it from one end.

The failure point is almost never the length. It is the things crossing the lane: low branches, overhead power and cable runs, light poles, sprinkler heads, utility covers, kerbs and speed bumps. You need 18 feet of clear air the entire way down, not just at the ends, and a reasonably level surface — a long run amplifies a slope you would not notice on a 40-foot unit.

Grass is ideal because we can stake at every anchor point. On asphalt, concrete or any hard surface we anchor with sandbag ballast instead, so tell us the surface when you book and the crew will arrive with the right kit.

Six Circuits — Settle Power Before You Book Anything

A six-piece course runs on six separate electrical circuits, each needing an outlet within 50 feet of its section. That is more than almost any school, park pavilion, church or residential property can supply from existing exterior outlets, and it is not something to discover on event morning. Without the power, the course does not inflate.

Before you book, ask your venue two questions: how many independent circuits are available along the run, and how far apart the outlets are. Six outlets on the same breaker is not six circuits — that will trip the moment the blowers spin up.

If the answer is fewer than six, or nobody at the venue knows, plan on generator power from the start. We rent a quiet 3600-watt generator and a standard 3500-watt generator, and once you send us the address we will tell you how many your specific site needs. Sorting this out at booking costs a phone call. Sorting it out on the day costs the event.

Events That Suit a 190-Foot Straightaway

School field days and end-of-year events. Drops onto a track straightaway or a field sideline without eating the space you need for every other station. We handle school paperwork, including certificates of insurance, W-9s and invoicing.

Block parties and closed-street events. The only course we rent that fits a residential street. If your HOA or your municipality closes a road for the day, this is the unit built for it.

Fall festivals, fairs and church events. Runs along a midway or a fence line as the anchor attraction without cutting your layout in half. Booked heavily from late August through October — reserve early for weekend dates in that window.

Corporate field days and team building. Adults race it as readily as kids, and a timed 190-foot run makes bracket-style competition straightforward to organise.

Community and sports-club events. Parks with long open verges, school campuses and recreation complexes are the natural fit.

Staffing, Age Range, and Running Heats on a Six-Piece Course

A 190-foot run takes a racer real time to complete, and that changes how you staff it compared with a short course.

Manufacturer guidance is five to six similarly sized riders on the course at any one time, with one person per slide. Our attendant paces the starts to hold the course inside that limit while keeping the line moving. Plan on a start-line monitor for the whole rental  on a run this long, whoever is at the start cannot see the finish, so a second adult at the far end is worth having.

If you would rather not pull a teacher or a volunteer onto the start line for four hours, we can supply an event manager to run the station for you.

190 ft vs. 160 ft — Shape Decides This, Not Length

Most people choose between our large courses on footage. Footage is the wrong number. Site shape is the right one.

If your site is a rectangle, the 160 gives you more course in less overall ground than this one does. We would rather tell you that than deliver a unit that does not fit. If your site is a lane, a track edge, a street or a midway, the 190 is the only one of the four that will go in.

Send us the address and we will tell you which course fits before you pay anything.

Compliance, Insurance, and Permits for Commercial-Scale Inflatables

Jump Around VA is SIOTO-certified — Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization — which means our crew is trained on anchoring loads, wind limits and safe capacity, not just delivery. Every unit is cleaned and sanitised before it leaves the warehouse and again after each rental.

For schools, churches, municipalities and corporate clients we provide a certificate of insurance naming your organisation as additional insured, along with a W-9 and an invoice if your accounts team needs one. Ask at booking and we will have the paperwork ready well before the event rather than the week of it.

Some municipal parks and public spaces require a permit for a commercial inflatable this size, and a few ask for the COI in advance as part of that application. Check with your venue early — permits are rarely difficult, but they are frequently slow.

On site, riders should be of similar size when running together, with shoes and jewellery off, and an adult monitor present at the start and finish for the whole rental. We walk your designated supervisor through the rules at setup and leave written safety instructions on site. We monitor wind and weather on event weekends and will contact you if conditions look unsafe.

The price includes delivery inside our standard service area, professional setup, safety anchoring and takedown. There is no separate labor charge and no surprise fee at checkout.

Because this is a six-piece unit with a longer setup, book at least a week ahead to hold your date — and two to four weeks ahead for weekend dates between April and October, when the large courses go first.

Bundling brings the per-item cost down. Add tents, tables and chairs, concession machines or a bounce house for the younger kids, and ask for a package quote when you check availability.

Frequently Asked Questions About 190 Foot Obstacle Course Rentals

How much space do I need for the 190 ft obstacle course?

A clear lane of 210 feet long by 16 feet wide, with 18 feet of overhead clearance. Walk the full length before booking and check for branches, power lines, light poles and utility covers along the run.

Usually, yes. At 16 feet wide it is the only course we rent narrow enough for a track straightaway or a parking-lot row. On asphalt or concrete we anchor with sandbag ballast instead of ground stakes, so tell us the surface when you book.

Six separate circuits, with an outlet within 50 feet of each section. Most venues cannot supply six independent circuits outdoors — ask about generator rental when you reserve.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and holidays, which fill up fast during peak season. That said, it’s always worth checking your date  reach out and we’ll let you know what’s available.

Absolutely. Every inflatable is cleaned and sanitized after each use and inspected before delivery. Our crew properly anchors each unit on setup so it’s secure throughout your event.

If your venue cannot confirm six independent circuits along the run, yes. Send us the address and we will tell you how many generators your site needs.

Site shape decides it, not length. A long narrow lane takes the 190. A wide rectangle takes the 160 ft U-Turn, which packs more course into less overall ground.
